The Rolling Nixons are taking their brand of no holds-barred bicycle riding to the streets of Jonesboro, AR. You better watch out 'cause we're coming and we're angry!
Actually, we are all rather nice people. Unless I inadvertantly say something that offends Leighanne and then she can get mean. It's like a tiny ball of fury on two thin wheels.
We are riding in the Medic One Ride for a Bette Life. It's a 62 miler which shouldn't be bad after we did the 50 miler except for the fact that almost none of us have had the chance to ride since the Big Dam Bridge ride. We'll see how it goes.
Also my Dad has decided to do a ride as well. I think spending time with us at the 50 mile ride made him want to get back into riding. He got an awesome bike a few years ago and hasn't ridden it very much until these past two weeks. He has been riding on the trainer at night and doing some rides on the weekends and he would do the 62 with us but we talked him out of it since it might be too much for his first big ride in 10 years. But let's all give it up for Larry Don for getting ready so quickly for his ride. Give it up, Everybody!
This is a map of the ride that we will be doing.
We are not actually in J'town too long but it will still be fun to get back to my old stomping grounds.
This has nothing to do with cycling but I'm putting it in this post anyways. Deal with it.
I went to a homebrew supply store today over lunch and I'm going to try to start brewing again. I picked up a kit to make a Porter and I'm going to try and get started on that this week or maybe next. Anyways, it should be done by the time everyone is home for Christmas so we can all enjoy one or all become rather ill together. Either way it should be a good time.

Nate and Erin are doing some homebrews right now. You guys should have a homebrew swap once you get started. Brewskis and friends over Christmas sounds like heaven.
Good luck with the ride. I hope you live through it!
If you guys make a road trip to Austin, bring them there bikes - there are bikers galore and some nice rides. And by nice rides, I don't mean I've been on any outside of my neighborhood...but the folks I see from my car up in NW Austin seem to be enjoying their rides through the hills.
