Man, we have really fallen on our blogbligations. Sorry 'bout dat. I was even off for a week and didn't do anything on here. It's a shame.
Anyways, here's what's been going on. Halloween was a lot of fun. LA and I were both off that day so we voted early that morning and then went and bought masks, posterboard and markers. We then went home and put lawn chairs in the yard and held up signs that said "Honk for Halloween". Early in the afternoon we got very little response but as soon as school let out it was on. We had the mailman, a cop, a backhoe driver, and a bus all honk at us. Those were the big accomplishment in our eyes. Our parents even came and sat with us for a good while and my dad got really into it. He was pissed because he couldn't get any Suburbans or Escalades to honk. We finally got the Suburbans to get in the spirit but we never got an Escalade to honk. There's always next year.
My birthday was the next week and I took most of that week off. My parents got me a home brewing kit and LA and I brewed a 5 gallon batch of Porter. We are going to bottle it this Sunday and it should be ready for consumption by about the first or second week of December. We have even designed labels to put on the bottles. I hope the beer doesn't suck because we are going to have a ton of it. I didn't realize how much 5 gallons was until I started trying to save bottles for it. We will have about 50 bottles of the stuff so come help us drink it.
This weekend LA is having a yard sale. Really, she's just organizing the thing because we only have about 5 items to sell. Her sister, her parents, my parents and my brother and his wife all have a butt-load of stuff to get sell and it's been at our house almost all week. We could hardly get in the back rooms of our house because of all the boxes. Lucky for me, I won't be in town this weekend to put up with the stress of the whole thing. You should all pray for Leighanne, though.
