August included our annual week-long pilgrimage to Florida with my family! Our week overlapped with my cousin's week down there by two days so we also got to see Jennifer, Matt, and their 3 little rugrats and my Aunt Kim. This picture is my now 3 year old "niece," Addison.

FL basically consisted of cycling, mimosas, John Daly's, oysters and cheese grits...as it does every year. As you can see from this next picture, we all sample each person's drink and I ended up with all 3 at the same time. From L: Peach Daiquiri, Mimosa, Pina Colada

This is Wes, me, Drew (Sarah's boyfriend) and Sarah having breakfast at The Liar's Club. THey had amazing cheese grits...ALMOST as amazing as Southern Cafe, but not.

After returning home from FL, we decided mom and dad needed a horseshoe pit in their backyard. so we made one. now we have yellow and pink horseshoes. those were the only colors i could find in dad's storage room.

Mom always wins. you can be one point away from beating her, and she'll come back. Dad can vouch for that. I also learned how to shoot a .225 air rifle...aka a beebee gun. But it was still fun! Artie can't stand the excitement!
