1) Feeding America has proclaimed September to be "Hunger Action month." So, donate $5, some cans of food or volunteer at your local food pantry/soup kitchen to help create communities across the country where no on has to go hungry. Did you know $1 provides 3 meals to a hungry child?
2) This weekend promises to be...wait for it...LEGENDARY!!!! Those of you who frequent CBS or "How I Met Your Mother" episodes know exactly what this means. Wes and I will be leaving tomorrow on an epic road trip in record time to visit DC and Virginia Beach. We will be paying 4 states and the DC area a lightening-speed visit.
Why take a trip that will be so rushed you might ask... This will be the first time in years that all of us 1st cousins will be under the same roof at one time. As mentioned earlier, legendary comes to mind. I'm pretty sure Wes does not really know what to expect BUT, there will be lots of great family photos posted upon our return.
Here's an overview of what's going on:
Friday - leave in the morning and drive 18 hrs straight through to DC to see the sunrise over the national mall on Saturday morning.
Saturday - spend a couple hrs quickly sight-seeing in the DC area then hop in the car fro another 3.5 hrs to VA Beach. Have an amazing rehearsal dinner at Steinhilber's Restaurant. drinking involved.
Sunday - a day of sight-seeing around the VA beach area then a wedding at 6:00 at the magnificent Cavalier Hotel. drinking involved.
Monday - hop in the car around 8ish for the 18 hr trip home via North Carolina since I've never been there. arrive home between 2-3 Tuesday morning.
Tuesday - 8:00 a.m. wes gets his wisdom teeth out.
WhAT a 4 DaYS THIs WILL bE!!!!!!
