That's right...Wes and I are going to be Bluncle Bocephus and Blaunt Suki* to Jon and Brie's first baby! Brie is about 10 weeks along and is not feeling so hot right now. The all day sickness has been kind of a downer for her. In addition to finding out she was pregnant, she also started her masters degree in nursing at UAMS and is still working at Children's Hospital and Jon got a promotion at Baptist Hospital. Lots of changes and lots of things to celebrate in the Alford family as of late!
Wes and I could not be more excited for them...mostly because it will be a kid we can impart our own kind of wisdom on and play with and then hand back over to it's parents all sugared up at 10:00pm!
*Please note: Jon dubbed me Suki after the chick in Trueblood. Pronounced Seu-ki. NOT suk-y or sucky.
**The above picture was taken in Las Vegas in September 2007, the weekend before Jon shipped out to Iraq. As you can see, we had a fabulous time with margaritas and dinner...one of those things which Brie can no longer enjoy :)
